The Dipavamsa chapter 3 describes the cities where the last descendents of Mahasammata[ http://lakdiva.org/mahavamsa/chapters.html ]from whom the King Sudhadona of Kapilanagara [ Kapilavatsu] descended. King Vijaya came from Vanga region and landed Supparaka , perhaps near Bombay and then in the Western coast of Sri Lanka, he would only come down River Narabada as suggested by some historians.
King Vijaya Queen sailed from Madhura perhaps along the River Yamuna into the sea and landed at Mahatittha with the elephants, horses and waggons, craftmen and thousand families of eighteen guilds with a letter to the conqueror Vijeya.
Sakka Pandu placed his daughter Princess Baddakachana with 32 women friends sailed down the River Ganges and landed at Port of Gonagamaka in Sri Lanka.
