Letter Kha

1.This letter is found only on the 1st Cent BC inscriptions and it disappears never  to be found again.


3. This rare letter is found in Koravakgala SITULPUVU INSCRIPTION NUMBER 624, in the word Ghamikha means Village Councillor,. A cave is donated by a Village councillor Sadana whose is the Son of Ghamika Siva and Ghamikha Sumana  and wishwes that all beings attain a pathy of beatitude. Apparently  the female Village Councillor or Villager  is spealt with the this letter KHA??. The others in the inscription is spealt with the normal Ka. The other instence is to spell Karapita mean caused to be done or made is erronously spelled with the letter Kha.[ S.Paranavitane]
